I think I should write a story about a Jersey girl moving to Chicago. Anyway. I was, for a soul-searching career-focused session, looking up relative livable salaries here, and I thought I'd check Chicago too. Not that any one cares, but I just want to share anyway. Especially as I kind of use twitter some times as a sort of reference sheet:P
I dont really live in Newark, but strangely Essex County is off the map for Salary.com; what digs with that?
According to Salary.com, moving to Chicago some time in the future means:
|
|
||||||||||

| Newark, NJ (Edit) | Passaic, NJ (Edit) | ||||||||||
| Chicago, IL (Edit) | Chicago, IL (Edit) | ||||||||||

Pretty impressive stuff.
As for living in NJ, and working in NYC:

Love you all! and so glad to be back =)
met me for dinner. And we danced the night away, and was comforted.
And here I curl, now, tucked safely in bed after being kissed chastely at the door, smiling. The power of Twitter.
scary (in a good way) at the same time! It makes me almost consider registering another Twitter account, to protect my full name...but as I'm not famous I shall not worry about that yetXD! Thank you for the good work and I have subscribed to your blog!
followers, I love and appreciate its inclusion...along with my "Twittworth" and "Twitter Grade"! :D:D
Yeah, Twitwall!!!
- Google Notebook has all the features I need...except I prefer the highlighting. So when I go back to the page its there.
-Beyond this, Only I-Lighter seems to match very well. Am waiting for Webnotes to accept me, or open up too
- I wanted a mindmapping tool with easy 'adding-idea' tools, so while wisemapping.com and mind42.com are VERY cool, they dont have a browser bookmarklet. MindMeister wins in that aspect!
-Zotero's good, but I know of other bibiliography tools and anyway atm that's not an issue for me. Bibliographies are tedious, but they can be done.
ILeonardo-- its essentially a sophisticate crowd-sourcing knowledge social network. Great, but with its risks as I know I'll still lay on a chopping board if I dare use sources, say, from Wikipedia. Their DEMOShow vid showcased Wikipedia >>

I-Lighter
MindMeister

(Also inspired by Hans Christian Anderson' 'The Little Mermaid')
I woke up and grazed my hand down my husband's back and looked at him smilingly as we kissed gently and passionatly our 'Good Morning's.' I lifted my hand to massage his neck and opened my mouth-
"Your Majesties!" My husband jerked back, causing bubbles to rise around him, and I hastily arranged my hair to fall as best as the sea water permitted over the mounds of my breasts and I sat upright to glare at a highly-embarassed butler, who stood fumbling at the golden coral bedroom floor. But he uttered , "Yela is missing!" and then my anger turned to a wail and my King-Husband sprang up, and swam away to order a hunt for our daughter. I wailed for her fool-hardy desire to see the battle between the Mages and the Rogues that raged not far, and above the sea. "Your Majesty" came again, and I looked up. "She has been found- but she has been caught by the Rogues. We must turn to Maid Kelian". I shivered at the mention of the terrible Mage and that I would have to lose my tail to seek her. But all for the Sake of my Daughter! And with this self-rally, I rose and began my journey to save my daughter...the princess of the sea.
was rocking on her heels, and I couldnt help but feeling it grated on me, just as her eyes, wide, a bit glassed with lashes that were excessively dewed. The test strip lay forlorn on the coffee table between us. I am 21, she 18; my mind flashed through all the possibilities and closed my eyes to steady myself and listen to my heart. 'My heart', I thought, 'My heartbeat--' suddenly I snapped my eyes open and helped her dry her tears, and held her tightly, decisively. Nine months later, our son was born, and I placed my finger tip between the chubby, downy mounds of his little chest and heard what I thought I needed hear 9 months before: the sound of MY heartbeat...through him.
