2 recipes-in-one! Healthy almond 'milk'!

(You can replace almond with macademia or pine nuts or or brazilian nuts!)

3 cups soaked almonds

4 cups water

1/2 cup of your fav sweetener (avoid artificial sweeteners)

  1. JUICE the above ingredients (use a juicer - NOT processed in food blender!)
  2. Use cheesecloth to sieve.  One for juice and leftover almond pulp in cheesecloth,
  3. Leftover almond pulp (can be kept in fridge for up to 3 days) to use as pastry or non-cooked "cookie dough'!

HEALTHY n DELICIOUS!

To make almond pulp firmer, add Carob powder.

Carob Powder can also be added to any freshly squeezed fruit juice to make a bubbly fruit shake!  Carob powder added to Healthy Milk becomes a healthy MILK SHAKE too!

Carob powder tastes better in sweet dishes.  Buckwheat flour can be used for both sweet and savoury dishes.  Both do not contain Alloxan (chemical toxic) commonly found in white flour/bread.
