I was thinking about sending a great article resource, but the reality is that anyone can Google this information themselves. When someone asks that question, they are usually preparing to pitch their own business. In this case, GoAskPaul has a nifty new website that he is creating and probably is doing market research.
Regardless, my reply is that, "I don't!" ... I prefer affiliate marketing, seo, website promotions, social networking, training, link building, blogging and not the work involved in building a MLM business. I think that it is more fun and profitable to promote resources that will help build a network marketing business.
Meaning that I do not even think about choosing a MLM opportunity.
I refer people in MLM to http://www.internetsuccessrocks.com if they want to learn how to generate their own leads and brand themselves online.
I refer other others to http://www.ourbusinessnetwork.com if they prefer free leads, free advertising & to network with people interested in MLM.
Both are great services, I used them myself and made money without even having a MLM business. If I can do that passively (very little effort), anyone can do well with those resources if they choose.
Not in the market to look at a MLM at all. HERE IS THE IRONY ...
I became a customer with a company called Aisle19 back in November (2008). This was only after I asked a friend what skincare products she uses (she is older than my mother with very clear skin). She had never mentioned Aisle19 before nor the skincare company. Regardless, I asked her what skin care products she uses and sent me the link to Aisle19 and told me that it was the one on the right hand side of the page, Makaila Morgan. That was it!
Little did I know there was a business opportunity, too ...
So, I joined Aisle19 and checked out that store. In fact, I browsed most of the options to see how it worked (I am a Net tech so it was interesting to me). I never knew there was an affiliate program or Aisle19 business opportunity until they had a joint venture with another network marketing company. That peaked my interests, so I went to my mall to learn more about it. I could not find any info; Aisle19 does not advertise this on their cash back mall site. They have a separate corporate site (Escape Internetaional) for those who are interested in a business. I researched the company, leadership and earning potential. Thought a bit about whether it was a business that I could market online instead of offline. I then decided that I could create the same kind of affiliate shopping mall of my own, so why would I market theirs?
I left it at that until ...
One day, my NOT so computer literate mother said that she was interested in an additional income stream. My mom wanted something that she could market offline and when I asked her what she thought that she would want to do, she was interested in a cash back shopping business (she had seen something like this in from a distant friend and thought that others in her age group would use it). I mentioned that I could build one for her or that she could join the free one that I have with Aisle19; that it was both an affiliate program and MLM. She liked the idea of the turnkey franchise instead of taking the time to build and promote one.
I attended the trainings until I understood the business and compensation well. I recruited about 100 to my business in almost 2 months. I made every effort to teach my mother how to do the same, and then it finally sunk in ... the reality is that ALL my mother wanted was a cash back mall for HER USE - LOL. She loved the concept of saving money and getting the cash back checks more than the concept of building that business in order to get more cash back checks and bonuses. She never referred a soul.
This is why I stayed active with the company after my mother bailed:
1) It is a God Centered business.
2) Both the mall and business opportunity are free.
3) Both the business and the mall are Invite only!
4) The cellular health & skin care products are great (yes, I tried them).
5) They have 5 main direct sales lines AND a 700+ store cash back mall.
6) The company pays me checks.
7) NO autoship and monthly requirements.
8) I already have customers and IBOs that are using the service.
9) Aisle19 / Escape International is all about choices. you can be a referring customer (affiliate marketer) or an Independent Business Owner (MLM).
Lastly, I never wanted a network marketing company at all! LOL :)

Orange Leads ... the name of this website lets us all know that "Orange Leads" is definitely a leads service. Doesn't it? Meanwhile, only around 1/2 of the members are actually using the service for the free business leads.
So, what are the other members doing?

I am noticing that my the number that I am Following and the number of Followers are not matching up. It is strange because I follow everyone that is following me (literally, I browse others pages and Tweets each day). I also go through each and make sure that we are linked up. In other words, we are following each other.
Still, this is not an even on my page?
Now, I understand that sometimes Twitter is investigating accounts for what they think might be illegal activity (we are usually unable to follow these until they are cleared by Twitter), but I do not think that I have so many of those on my list.

shows that more people are following me than I am following them?
It's no big deal; just bugging me because It is not right.
For those who do not know, this blog title was inspired by Tiger from Winnie the Pooh. I am not sure if that show still plays on the TV or not. Maybe it disappeared like the Electric Company and Lamb Chop. Regardless, it all ties together when thinking what a viral wonder Twitter is and how much the Internet has transitioned over the years. Some of the good trends have gone, but this social / viral marketing era has such mind boggling good stuff these days. The ways that we can learn, share and network with others through video, webinars, camera and on Twitter is better than speed dating; especially with all of the accommodative applications. If you are not plugging into all of this "good stuff" for your business, I totally suggest that you catch up quickly with this list of Twitter Tools. Additionally, if you know anyone that cannot get out of the house regularly, Twitter will do them good, too. I am saying that because, as a WAHM, I speak with people daily. Many looking for work at home jobs mention that they are sick, disabled or loney, too.
Twitter is truly viral marketing at it finest and I am just eating it up right now.
