Cendrine Marrouat - A bio and a poem

So, who am I?

My name is Cendrine Marrouat and I am a French-born poet and budding playwright residing in Canada. I started writing poetry in 2005 and I haven't stopped since then. I love spreading positive messages and God is my main source of inspiration. Despite my young age and my short writing career, I consider that I have accomplished what many would take decades to do.

I define poetry as "the language of the soul" and try to follow this definition very closely. I focus almost exclusively on spirituality. A lot of readers have told me that my poetry has helped them to reconnect with God and face their fears, especially death.

I consider myself as independent, driven, and hardworking. My ultimate goal is to (re-)educate audiences about poetry and art. And I have partly achieved it. As one of my readers says, "you seem to have found a way to accomplish something the “experts” said couldn’t be done: popularize poetry. Kudos to you!". My upcoming show, "Poetic Moments", is also furthering my objectives.

I am the author of "And They All Rejoiced! Soul-Stirring Poetry", "Short Poetry for Those Who Fear Death", "Sortons des chemins battus. Poésie de l'âme", "Project: Heartbeats and Elevation", and "Rizen-The CD". I am also the creator of the Soulpoetrysite.com Product Line. Feel free to visit my website at http://www.soulpoetrysite.com.

However, before I go, I would like to share a poem with you. Feel free to visit my poetry blog, you will be able to read many more poems!

IN THE DEEP OF THE NIGHT

When the sound of the bugle calls,

You will find me under the tree

Of knowledge and buoyancy.

If you treasure the pearls of silence,

Our hearts will speak in tongues of fire.

I want to delve deeper into Essence,

Where the heart of the matter lies;

My eyes want to see beyond the light.

I can pretend no longer, I need faith!

And I shall move mountains of despair,

Corpses of dreadful sympathy,

And ideals of mournful empathy.

My faith will unshackle crowds of apostles

Until the new day of unborn miracles.

And I profess that my children will be many.

Fruitful disquisitions of the mind,

Inquiries of infantile delight...

I shall prevail!

And when I die, my Spirit will carry on.

But, as always, you will have forgotten about me.

Do not fear, my child!

I will return when time is nigh!
