Text and Twitter messages falsely claiming a 3-year-old boy was abducted by a man driving a 2006 Mitsubishi Eclipse, license number 98B351, are currently circulating in California and Oregon. Police in both states say the plate number is invalid and no such Amber Alert is in effect.

The female was driving a black 4 door sedan that was described as looking like an unmarked police vehicle.

Mother and Child Reunited after Abduction For Immediate Release CHANDLER, AZ. On May 31, 2009, James Anthony Kaiser failed to return his 9-year-old son, Benjamin Kaiser-Griffin, after a scheduled court-ordered week-long visitation. On September 5, 2009 when Kaiser was pulled over in Fort Lauderdale, Florida for a traffic violation, police arrested Kaiser. "Even though James was eventually caught from a traffic violation, I know the ongoing efforts made by all of my „angels‟ kept Jim running and ultimately letting his guard down in a demographic he thought he would be safe in, but in the end my faith and prayers were answered when I received the call Saturday night," said Shelly Griffin, Ben‟s mother.
Kaiser is being held on a $50,000 bond and is awaiting Extradition back to Arizona to face felony charges of parental abduction
Benjamin was reunited with his mother Shelly Griffin and was brought home late Sunday night to Chandler, Arizona.
The Chandler Police Department led by Detective Chris Keipert, for almost four months followed Kaiser through many states including: Hawaii, Washington, Arizona, and Colorado. Police partnered with JAG Investigations, Parental Abduction Child Recovery Team, and Michelle Bart from Helping Heroes / National Vigil For Hope in a team effort to stay on Kaiser’s trail and to keep Benjamin’s face and story visible through many media outlets and grassroots efforts.
