Here I am on our east side Milwaukee block, consulting with my colleague (boss?!?) the Tortoise Cat. I represent Shamanic  Shift Center, a non-profit mission of Companions Circle, a non-sectarian church of shamanic ways.  Around the net I am known as Shamantic (for shamanic jester Shamantic! The Wise) or ShamanicShift or Shamanic-Shift.  Of course not all the ShamanicShifts on the web are me.

I tried being choosy about following back on Twitter - or cyber-befriending in general - but it wasn't as fun (for me).  No one I relate to in social networking is 'just a number' to me even though I haven't had a chance to engage in conversation with everyone on my list yet. 

The span between 'Yet' and "Ever" (for me) can expand for a long, long, while, and is always full of surprises.  Keeping track or keeping up is not a problem because just like in 3-D life I don't converse with everyone I know or am aquainted with all at once.  Many folks I only meet and greet occasionally, in passing.  I am meeting a wondrous diversity of amazing people (and companies, causes, and organizations) by following back freely and conversing whenever I can.

I tweet for fun; as a pause for rest and reflection amid work; for new connections; to generate updating content when I'm behind in my blogging; as an exercise in writing concisely; and as a spiritual practice that points me toward the HERE/NOW moment of power.

I tweet science, art, spirituality, and diverse other links of interest; moments of my journey through the day; quotes that raise questions for me or amuse me or encourage or inspire me; and conversations, shouts, and RTs.

My tweets may not exactly answer the question "What are you dong?" but most of them will be close to the present in some way.

I am a big celebrator of differences and seeker of serendipity with a wide range of interests and deep curiosity.

I'm for Twitter's ongoing evolution towards a dynamic balance between open diversity and rising quality.  But amid Twitter's worsening glitches, errors, and slowness I'm wondering if Twitter is devolving instead!
