Maybe it is spring and time for the ladybugs. Or, maybe young mothers are just into spring decorating. But, everywhere I turn there are ladybugs!
For example, my daughter-in-law has suddenly decided that ladybug baby bedding is the new theme for the nursery. Now it is a matter or choice. Should she select the one below or another one?
Well, she likes this one, but personally I preferred the crib bedding with less bugs and more sage green. But, I was reminded that she is the one doing the decorating and being a mother gets a bigger vote than being a grandmother. That is true --- as long as she is paying!

Hint, hint! Even as summer approaches, nights at the beach are still breezy and cool. If my kids are getting this message, one of the best Mother's Day gift ideas for this year for this mom starts with cotton blankets. Okay, so I already ordered three. But, the kids need to know if they come to visit they will be sleeping in the guest room and I did not order a summer blanket for that room.... HINT! HINT!
The Single Woman's DIY Guide is designed for young women or older women who may not have learned everything they need to know while growing up --- things like what to do when the car won't start or what kind of paint to buy to paint the new apartment.
Of course, this old lady is looking for contributors who have some little insight into what women need to know that they may missed. And, hey! Some guys may need to learn a few things, too.
Grab a cup of coffee and visit Single Woman's DIY Guide.

Oh, I do hope not! Anyway, I was still looking for Easter Baskets for the wee ones. So, today I googled "easter baskets for kids" and was taken to one of my favorite sites for this time of year. There it was! "My First Easter" Isn't this the cutest thing? And, the most appropriate for a first Easter? That magic bunny is getting smarter.

Now that I'm a grandmother I guess I am thinking ahead to the next holiday. I suppose the next real holiday is Easter. I found a great site today called Easter Baskets for Kids. One idea is to make an Easter bucket! Who would have thought of that?
But the best idea was to put fruit, well disguised, in the Easter basket. Guess I will be heading to the kitchen the night before Easter.

I have been hearing a lot about hotel bedding. I'm guessing it is a new style. There was something that sounded remarkably uninteresting about having bedding in the house that reminded me of staying in a hotel until I saw this king size black and white comforter. I really like the clean lines but I'm wondering if it looks too much like a real hotel.

I haven't looked at daybed covers in a long time. But, recently one of the neighborhood kids came by to ask about buying a bed for his new apartment. I suggested a daybed because he is sharing a small apartment with another student. Well, I don't know if I answered all his questions but look what I ordered for myself! Check the links for two great websites.

One of the most uncomfortable dining chairs I have ever had the discomfort to sit on was the Jacobean style chair. They are square and usually very hard without much padding, if any at all. Thank goodness someone agrees with me!

Wedding umbrellas seem to be the big thing this year for outdoor weddings. I'm wondering if an umbrella with the bride and groom's names and wedding date would be a good wedding gift for the bridal party. Perhaps. But, wouldn't it be more useful in the future without the names and date?

Brrrrr... It's cold outside today. Looking forward to spring so started looking for cold frame ideas. In a month it will be time to plant those seeds. Found a great site, Eating the Backyard that has videos and information galore on how to plant a vegetable garden.
Look for new ideas on cold frames for getting started.
