Read this inspirational story.. FOR good causes #inspiration #nonprofit

Cancer has impacted so many people's lives in some way and I have met some pretty remarkable survivors that have an amazing spirit. Some are not so lucky and sadly the ones they leave behind are most affected.  This climb is for ALL survivors, the ones that have survived the disease and the ones that were left behind. 

Someone I know was one left behind.  Below is his story. 

A dear friend of mine lost his wife, Dee Jai to cancer 5 years ago when she was in her early 30's. It was stomach cancer and it happened fast.  In a short 4 weeks, she went from a vibrant, active woman to losing her life to the disease. He is probably the most giving and kindest person I have ever met. He donated his Corvette to help raise awareness for cancer and does endless acts of volunteer work and charity for various causes in the community. I am joining him on May 16th for the Climb to Conquer Cancer event here in Colorado Springs. I know the economy is tough right now and asking for money to contribute to a charity is asking a lot.  But, even if you donate $10, the price of a couple fancy coffee's or 1/2 tank of gas, it will contribute to finding the cure.  Your donation supports the American Cancer Society's efforts to fund groundbreaking cancer research, provide up-to-date cancer information and education, advocate for

that benefit the community, and offer free services that improve the quality of life for patients and their families.
