I selected "I just want to find new or nurture existing personal relationships (friends)" but really, I use Twitter because it's like the digital equivalent of me muttering to myself. Occasionally others talk back, which is cool.

Me too - bit of a diversion, see what's happening in the world, find interesting people. We've had some new account registrations as a result, which of course is nice. The biggest benefit I find is access to the interesting stuff going on in the Internet, which I usually pass on to our users. They're mostly a staid bunch so take up isn't amazing but they'll get there. Meanwhile this looks a really interesting concept. I'd like to know more about it.

I use Twitter to communicate wtih other SM people, a lot just locally - who happen to be friends as well. What I have found is that I will get most of my NM/SM articles that I want to read first thing in the morning from Twitter & not my reader. I will litterally go 2-3 days w/o touching my reader...because all the best stuff comes through via Tweets.

I have a much healthier business relationship with my clients when they see my creative and down-to-earth side first. Twitter allows me reveal that side of me first. The rapport I instantly have with my Twitter leads come much faster than the one I get from my Google ads clients.

Hi, Michael -- my answer is none of the above, but not because "I do not have a clue why I am in Twitter". One of the primary reasons I use Twitter is as a news feed -- not so much for me to push my content (although I do that) but to either get ideas for stories or to be alerted to stories. In this way, Twitter is a form of "pulse"

I said "get to know my clients/vendors/partners on a personal level..." and I love that about Twitter. It's so easy to build relationships.
